Fresh spices are the best. Whether you use them frequently or just every once in a while, you want spices to provide smell and taste, not just color. Have you ever checked the “best by” dates on your spices? If you wish you could throw out your old spices, but can’t imagine replacing them all at once, here’s your chance to do that without spending a dime. Or, if you haven’t yet accumulated a nice collection and have to buy them individually when recipes you want to make call for a spice you don’t have, then this giveaway is your chance to accumulate a wonderful collection all at once.
I’m participating in a spice set giveaway sponsored by CookingPlanit. This collection offers all-time favorites of mine (cinnamon, cumin and ginger), others that I love (cardamom, bay leaves, and hot pepper in two forms), and spice combinations that I use frequently, such as curry and chili powder.
CookingPlanit has put together a roundup of 50 bloggers for this giveaway; each blogger will have a 7-day giveaway with 2 bloggers starting their giveaway each day from this past Wednesday through March 30. Each blogger-host designs her/his own giveaway rules, so you’ll have lots of creative ways to enter.
My giveaway will run from March 28 – April 3, so check back here on Thursday March 28 for details and to enter. In the meantime, check the list at the bottom of this post on the other 49 participating blogs. You can enter on as many of the participating blogs as you want, and of course, the more times you enter, the greater your chance of winning a set of CookingPlanit spices. Each of us will choose 1 winner (so 50 winners in all) for a spice set that will be provided by CookingPlanit.
